Had to put our dog Goldie down today, she was a golden retriever about 12-ish years old and she had gotten too old and started having really bad and sudden health problems in the last few weeks. It's hit me harder than I expected, but I will always love her and she will stand guard over our backyard now, looking down on us from doggo heaven.

Thank you <3 it will take some time but I think we will get through it eventually and look back on her fondly rather than sadly whenever we think about it.

She was the nicest dog, behaved well even when left at home alone. We gave her the best life we could, she got to try all kinds of food, she always slept in the house, on a blanket. You don't really expect to miss a pet like that until it's too late, you think it'll go on forever until one day it doesn't, so cherish your pets, friends and family while you can. Hang in there. Losing someone you love is heartbreaking and incredibly painful but I hope with time You'll be feeling a lot better. Goldie will always be a part of you deep inside your heart and as long as her memory remains so to will her love for you. May she rest in peace. <3

Hi, I am just stranger who happened to stumble on this sad journal and I would like to say that I am very sorry to read this, condolences. May she rest in peace. I know what it feels like losing a dear family member and friend. It took me over than 20 years to finally come to terms with the pain and the loss of a wonderful dog that, despite lived with my neighbours, spent most of his time with me. Take your time to process this and remember that she is now part of yourself in the shape of fond memories and experiences gained in the journey of love, respect and education with an animal.
I hope you will be feeling better with time and the love of your beloved family members. I bet she had a wonderful life with you. Again, may she rest in peace.
